it only does it when its a cold start though, if i drive it around for a little bit and turn the engine off, she will fire right up no problem

it sounds like its way to rich, i would check the coolant temp sensor for the ecm. Ive also had a number of tbi vehicles with the same issue and it turned out to be a bad map sensor, which can be bad without showing a ses code. map sensors have a rubber diaphram in them which break down and harden up overtime, which causes the computer to read the wrong amount of vacuum.

almost sounds to me that there is extra fuel in the intake like the injectors are bleeding down. when it is how it will evaporate the fuel better.

i know the check engine light is on ill have to plug in the code key to see what they are maybe the codes have something to do with the problem

well i changed the egr valve, and a new tps and it seems to run and start alot better now, i might change the coolant temp sensor soon though

Where did you get your egr valve? Seen a few threads saying get a GM one.
