oil pressure sending unit nightmare
i have been fiddling with this darn thing for about 3 weeks now. i had a mechanical gauge hooked up to it and i got pretty average oil pressure around 30-40 pounds.
i installed a new sending unit and spliced in a new oil switch connector. it didnt work. i removed it and noticed that the new connector from summit had a damaged pin. i also so i reconnected the old connector and then plugged it back in and it STILL doesnt work. it stays very very low and when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump kick in and the gauge moves up very slightly. when i start it i get nothing.
does anyone know the secret?

I have a similar issue. Mine was working, then it stopped so I saw it was leaking. I replaced it with a new one plugged it back in and I still get no reading from the gauge.
