I have a 1988 camaro 305 tbi and i am having problems with it when i start my car when its cool it fires up idles at 2000 and slow drops till about 1000 like normal then if shut it off and try to restart it it idles rough and dies unless i hit the gas then it balances itself why is it doin this

 

Have you checked the codes?
When was the last tune up?
How did the problem occur ?

I firgured it out bad vacum line but now another problem persists i was driving this morning and my car started stalling like it was losing power but then it quit only does it once in a blue moon

 

idles 1000? Sounds like a vac leak.

Stalling may be a seperate problem. I would verify fuel pressure under load.
