fuel pump problems
I got a 88 camaro 305 tpi, been working on lil problems with it for the past 2 weeks brakes being the biggest one. My problem is I'm working on a crank no start, I've checked the relays all good, fuses are good, pump is good I think put power right to the plug for the pump it seems to be working hot 12 to gray wire grounded the black wire. I went to release the pressure but no fuel came out*more on this in a sec last thing for me to check atm is power back to the pump connector. Anything else I should try and check? Or anyone got any ideas I've been reading all the posts on this problem and followed advise given.
This is crazy, been runing *not fine* the last few days. I'm lost on this left the hood open and now have this prblem the under hood light killed the battery.... don't think that's the problem but that's what has brought this about.

Re: fuel pump problems
I had this "problem". It would crank but wouldn't spit fuel from the injectors. There are two wires that connect to the battery, that allow the injectors to fire. I replaced my fuel pump, filter and relay before realizing the two wires I thought were grounds, needed to be connected to the positive terminal on the battery. Fired right up. Let me know. I'll post pictures of the wires I'm talking about in a few minutes.

Re: fuel pump problems
Well I checked the connetor from the car to the pump fuel pump is gettin power.... I put my voltmeter in as if itwhere the pump to see what power I'm gettin.. and the injectors are gettin power... but no fuel. Fuel lines are not the problem I know this couse I'm gettin fuel every now and then to the pressure relase valve. Could this be a signal wire problem? Btw I did post thi in the wrong part of the fourms should be under tpi not tbi my bad... but I'm willing to bet that the fuel systems are very close to the same if not the same... I'm goin to start losing my hair..... I'm also bout 5 mins from seling this and goin back to a ford, but then again I wana drive this car more I really like it.. lol what to do what to do.

Oh, got you. I posted the picture of what I was talking about anyway, so at least there is some clarity if someone should fall upon this thread later on. Be sure to post the results.

Re: fuel pump problems
possibly a weak fuel pump?-once a friend had a no
start problem with a ~1995 chevy blazer, turned out
the injecters needed a minimum pressure to operate-
they would not flow below that minimum,a new fuel
pump fixed it.

Re: fuel pump problems
you check the fuel lines for blockage?? its not unheard of with these cars. i blew my lines out with a compressor last time i was doing work on it, some particles came out. but then again my tank was "effed" up.
food for thought.
