Trouble starting up
Last week I changed my IAC and distributor (changed to a MSD) and tested my car and it ran fine. The next day I started it, it started right up and ran fine. Later that day I changed my dash bulbs to leds. While I was changing the bulbs I had the key turned with the engine off. YWhen I was down and I went to start her up it didnt start up right away. I had to give it gas and you can smell the fumes. I let the car run for a few mins. After a week of not starting my car it did the same thing again. Then when I got it to start after pushing the gas it ran and the check engine light came on. I shut it down, started it back up which it started normal, check engine again. Then I did the same thing again and no check engine light. I leg it run for about 10 min, gave it a little gas, let the blue smoke clear out and it seemed fine. Is it starting up like that since I had the key turn and it was dumping fuel into the motor? (I have a TPI)
