How badly will it run

My engine is a 350 with a zz4 cam, vortec heads, and 1.6 roller rockers. Right now its a pain to find a 454 tbi unit so I'm wanting to put a 350 unit on it till I find one. How streetable will it be with the 55lbs injectors? ill also need some help tuning my ebl for it if possible.

Re: How badly will it run

im betting it will run but wont do much over 3500 rpms. I am pretty sure I saw a 454 TBI for sale in the for sale section on this site.

but if you put or modify your tbi and bump up the fuel pressure it should go farther.

Yeah I contacted that guy, he's the one I bought my gmpp intake from but not a responce yet. Can I use washers as a shim to make the spring stiffer? I might just see if the parts store still sell the 454 fpr with the 30lb spring.

where have you been looking? JY? EBay?

I would suggest you make stock adjustable or buy the adjustable pod off ebay. I dont believe shims are convienient. add a FP gauge while you are at it.

Yrah eBay is $299 and up and some don't even have injectors and I'm talking to a guy now for a 454 complete unit for $80. I'll also be getting the fpr off eBay for the tbi with a a pressure gauge fitting
