looking fir a .Bin file

I'm looking for a .bin file that I can use as a starting point for my vortec headed zz4 cammed engine and a 454 tbi /w 90lb injectors and as a reference to compare to the stock l03 bin. I finally got the engine in after 2 days; just need to splice and connect a few things. Im kinda iffy to start it on the l03 .bin. any help would be great

Re: looking fir a .Bin file

There is a bit of difference between the ZZ4 and the LT4 cam. I am assuming that it is the LT4 Hot cam?

With the ZZ4 cam I would start with the EBL_F_3000 BIN as it has the SA tables for the Vortec heads.

For the LT4 Hot cam I'd start with the EBL_F_3001 BIN. This calibration is for a ratty cam'd engine, and the VE tables are better suited for that cam. Note that it is an open loop tune, to get closed loop un-check the open loop idle and open loop cruise flags:

Option Word 1 - Bit 3 - OpCrs
Option Word 1 - Bit 2 - OpIdl

Leave it in forced open loop during decel.

Copy the main and extended SA tables over from the Vortec Bin (3000).

For either be sure to set up the BPC tables and other odds and ends as required. Pay attention to the Initial SA in the BIN, likely they are both at 6* BTDC, which is where the distributor needs to be set.

If after starting up if the engine goes lean and stalls after say 1 to 2 minutes, then the VE table is too low. This may occur with the 3001 calibration, unlikely with the 3000 calibration.

They are both likely to surge once in closed loop. If so it is most likely caused by the proportional gains, which will need to be reduced.

RBob.
