light modifications for a 305

Ive got a 305 with tbi in a 1991 camaro with around 140,000 miles. from using a couple of different top speed to horsepower calculators, they seem to keep saying im only making about 120-150 hp, what would be a good way to get to around 200hp without spending very much money?

tune that bad boy up then brother. plugs, wires, seafoam, check timing, cap and rotor, oil, filters, throttle body cleaner, fuel treatment, slick 50. 200 bucks later, as long as she has no major issues, you will feel a differance (if it was a while since a tune up.

how does she feel now? sluggish off the start?

Re: light modifications for a 305

the best mods to get some more power out of the car.

exhaust, headers, high flow cat, bigger exhaust pipe and different muffler

bump up the timing to about 6*

air cleaner. the stock air cleaner is very restrictive. go to an open element or some sort of cold air induction.

this stuff can all swap over toa 350 later also.

You can the ultimate tbi mods which increase flow and an adjustable fuel regulator lets you get more gas into the engine.

that is basic stuff. will deffinately get you closer to your 200 hp goal if not over.
