Why replace Valve Springs

What is the point when you need to change your springs in term of a new cam. Do you have to replace the springs if just going with a lt1 cam?

Re: Why replace Valve Springs

If they are the originals they are old and tired and cannot maintiain the same presures meaning youll get valve float early which can kill power...and parts.
Springs are cheap just put em in along with new seals. Worth every penny.
