Ok im sorry i cant really post pics but on the air cleaner on my moms 89 tbi, the small vacuum looking hose that just stays on the air cleaner is messed up and the acordian looking metal hose going down to the engine itself is messed up, the metal hose is shorter with a bigger diameter, where do i get these?

 

The one that goes to the exhaust manifold is at any parts store, just measure the diameter.
The other one sounds like a breather tube, try to get a picture of it up.

 

Both of those have to do with the Thermac switch/device and VAC motor. The hose needs to be replaced or you will have a vacuum leak at the throttle body the other one I call a stove pipe is located just below the VAC motor that is in the arm that leads out of air cleaner .The pipe should be attached to a heat sealed just above the manifold and goes straight up onto the bottom of the air cleaners arm. I pulled a stove pipe off a car at a pick-n-pull.

 

Thanks guys! The metal hose from the cleaner to the engine is a "Pre-Heater Hose"

The other is just the vacuum hose on the air cleaner lol

 

Just a question, on my car(I have a carb on my 91 RS) Do i need the pre heater hose and vacuum hose? i never had those on there since i got it, but this thread was asked for my moms new tbi 89 camaro.
