Factory TBI to fast EZ efi

has anyone done it? what did you do for the tcc? did oem throttle cable work? if you take out all the factory tbi harness does it phrohibit anything working? ie: fans will still work if you leave fan wiring there and fan switch installed, ac will still work, fuel pump will still work etc???

any insight would be great.

I wanna go bigger cam, bigger heads and Id need more fuel and I hate tuning myself. So I figure a 4bbl with self tuning would be great.

and im not worried about emissions.

self tune isn't all it's cracked up to be. still leaves a lot to be desired. just get EBL and pay someone to tune it for you, cheaper than Fast and best of all it's PLUG AND PLAY.

I know of a few people in hotrods that have used it with great luck. one is 600hp. as for a lock up converter you will have to use a switch. like the vacuum switch method that carbed cars used. for the cable on the 700 they sell a bracket for that.

Having the injectors under the throttle blades is a big plus. As is sequential on T blades opening.

EZ as you are aware does not contol timing so need to retain GM ECU for that or replace dist with a traditional unit.

I see Holley came out with their similar unit. I would take a look at it.

OUCH $2000...

EBL is looking better every day...

Well who can I pay to tune it for me? I don't wanna do it.

I have EBL already. I am overwhelmed by it.

I'm sure anyone familiar with the TBI or TPI system can tune it. You're going to have to start phoning around and researching. I'm personally going to get my car on a eddy current chassis dyno to dial in the VE table, spark table, a/f ratios and AE. Then will tweak driveability stuff afterwards. I would probably spend 2-3x as much money on fuel vs dyno time/hr. Some guys like to tune on the street, I like to dyno then once you know everything is "safe" you can tweak driveability stuff as you go. Not to mention safer and less speeding tickets!
