350 tbi swap help,,please

So; I found a really good deal on an '89 RS today.
I will buy it tomorrow. Right now it doesn't run; but I can fix that.
Previous owner pulled the original 305 out and replaced it with an '86 3/4 truck motor with less than 5000 miles since rebuild.
Long block replacement only. He used the 305 intake and all accys.
I plan on getting this.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350-TBI-FUEL-INJECTOR-SENSOR-SET-CHEVROLET-R-V1500-2500-3500-1987-90-TPS-/360494393207?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ef23e777&vxp=mtr
Along with a tpi fuel pump.
I have prom tuning stuff; so I will look for a caprice "cop" car tune to get me started.
Will this take care of the swap?
He said the car ran fine before it just would not crank one day.
I'm not sure what he meant by "fine". From what I have read; the 305 injectors and PROM would have made it run like crap.
He says he trouble shoot the car and the injectors will not pulse.
I'm guessing the fuel pump/icm/vats or something else.
But anyway would the sensors in the link; along with the 350 injectors complete the swap correctly?
thank you
mike

Re: 350 tbi swap help,,please

The ad doesn't say if it included the 350 knock sensor. It's necessary because the 305 knock sensor will take out too much timing and cost you some power. I got mine at Rockauto.com for a reasonable price. You might also check their prices on the rest of those sensors. Do you have the original ones, and if so, do you know if they work? I am pretty sure a lot of them are interchangeable. Check Rockauto for sure.

Also doesn't say what # the injectors are. If the injectors are really from a 350, they will probably be ok. And are all the parts warrantied? If so, and you don't already have them, the rest of the sensors might be a good buy.

Seems like this purchase needs a little more research, and a couple more questions, before you spend your money.

Edit...86 had a carb; so RockAuto will provide me with a knock sensor.
thanks carguy

Thank you for your response; the ebay ad has tons 'o parts like this one.
It seems like he parts out trucks. I can get almost any year model and style
injectors and sensors for any truck. If there is a certain year model that works better than others he has them. This was just a guess on my part as to what year model would work. Also the engine that was swapped into the truck "may" have the knock sensor already installed. Did '86 model 3/4 ton trucks have a carb? I dont remember.
According to the registration info this camaro only weighs 3052 lbs. That is so light.
I thought these were 3500 lb cars. That is a half of a second weight difference.
I "will" do more research before purchase of the injectors.
I am a "tpi" guy and this is my first venture into the world of TBI.
This ad just kinda looked like a swap-in-a-box kinda thing for me (except for the knock sensor).
Don't think i need monster injectors or anything; surely this will be less than 200 hp engine. I just wanna complete the swap correctly. The previous owner just doesn't know how to work on it correctly (obviously he don't know about TGO).
I even have a "complete" tpi setup (except for ecm/harness) after my HSR swap on my Iroc. Just seems like a "waste" to throw away this TBI setup for less than $200 in parts to do it right. Kid already did all the hard work.
Anyone know where I can find the "cop car" PROM?
