yanked the carb 350 for a 350 tbi

thanks for any help or suggestions.
removed a carbed 350. wanting to install a 350 tbi. I have a few questions.
1) will the original distributor work in newer engine?
2) what about the flex plate?
3) will there be any issues bolting this engine to a 350 turbo?
4) this is a vortec engine, not sure about the year!

I appreciate any help you guys can provide for me.

No. Won't connect to the computer wiring harness. You may have problems with the distributor gear being incompatible with the camshaft, especially if this is a roller-cam engine. GM roller cams need the melonized distributor gear.

Flex plate from a two-piece rear-main-seal engine won't fit a one-piece rear main crankshaft.

Not if you have the right flexplate.

Far as I know, there were no Vortec TBI engines. At least, none with the '96-newer Vortec heads
