yep. when I start my 92 Camaro itll idle at 1700rpm and itll stay there for a while then a code 24 will come up but go off in a few. if I leave the car alone for a few mins the idle does go down to like 1100rpm but if I start to drive before that the idle will sit at 2000 rpm everytime I put the clutch in. in fact after the car warms up the idle will go to 1700rpm before dropping to 1100. personally I think all idle points are high. the code 24 only comes on for a min when 1st started but doent come back on till the car sits and is started again, which it comes on for a min and goes back off.

 

so no one has an idea. 2000rpm im positive isn't normal idle for stock engines from 1992.

 

Mine did the same thing only to find out the tach was wronge. But I am sure it is still high. Mine was caused because of vacuum leaks.

 

Could be a vaccum leak i guess, but since i fixed the vss it was doing it but now the vss is broke again it goes to 1500 and falls to 1k.
