Power/Idle problem 91 305 TBI
Ok, first I did a lot of work to find out that I had bad fuel pump. But nowI have some more things to fix. Ireplaced injectors, rebuilt the TBI, replace the throttle sensor, fuel filter,and Fuel pump. Now after a few months when I go to start it the idle fluxes butdoes not die. It will drive but the idle fluxes. After driving for a short timeand shutting it down for a few minutes it starts fine and runs good in town at40 mph or less. When I drive at highway speeds it bugs in power tell I get to2500-3000 rpm then it takes off like mad rabbit. now for some back history onthis car. It was originally a California car now in Washington state. I am thethird owner. It has history of sitting for a long periods of time with lastowner before I bought. do to transmission problems and military deployments andthe fuel pump problem it sat allot with me too. I only put 4k-5k on it in sevenyears, the engine has little over 100k on it and I have not changed the Plugs,wires, cap, or rotor. I plan to do that but if that does not fix it I like tohear if you had any problems like that or ideas of what may be wrong. Thanks for reading this and for your inputs.
