When I have the key turned to the position before starting, where the fuel pump primes, if I turn my high beams on the fuel pump primes again...and then when i turn them off it primes...again. Is this normal? Lol. I have a theory but its a very far out shot in the dark, and mostly just because I was reading about carb conversions recently. Could it be that someone had it swapped to a carb at some point and that was their way of manually priming the fuel pump?

 

remember pump prime is under ecm control, so something is draining enough power or causing a momentary spike, which causes ecm reset.

look for chopped wiring that someone might have botched
