Car: 89 formula
Engine: bolt on 305 tpi
Transmission: 700r
Axle/Gears: 342 posi
high idle when clutch engaged?
I have a 91 firebird...305 TBI 5 speed....every time I push the clutch in or just pop the car out of gear the idle will shoot up to 1500 rpms..but only while driving...when I stop the idle slowly goes down...I've only replaced the tps & it didn't change a thing...any help would be greatly appreciated

Connect a scan tool. See what the commanded idle speed is, and compare to actual idle speed.
