Agreed

Yeah, I agree. I did the MSD Blaster Coil, MSD Cap/Rotor,MSD 8.5mm superconducter wires and Rapidfire Plugs and the car ran great. I deffinetly recommend this setup to anyone.

I just installed my Cap and rotor. I tried driving a few blocks and it seems a bit smoother compare to when I just installed my MSD Blaster coil...

any HP gains? where did you mount the coil? and how did you hook it up to your stock wires that go into the coil (sorry dont know the name) i think MSD makes a kit that is a direct replacement for the 5.0 TBI and it hooks up just like stock, comes with the cap, rotor, and it produces somewhere around 53,000 volts

Hey this is great I was just about to post a question on the same topic.

I have the MSD wires and remote coil already. I was planning on installing the ignition box soon. Should I expect to see any noticable HP gains after installing one or just a smoother running car? Also I don't know what set up you guys have on yours but mine has the remote coil. Is it alright to run an MSD ignition with wires and coil in combination with the stock distributor? Eventually I would like to install an MSD distributor but have other mods I would like to do first.

Mark

You get no Hp/tq gains from the MSD Box or any ignition part for that matter. You get better spark which gives u a smoother idle, quicker starts.

I tried installing the MSD spark plug wires but I could not figure out which end goes to the distributor. One end is plain and the other has the MSD Logo on it. Which end goes to the distributor?

Thanks...

Is there a possibility of recieveing an error code from my comp after installing an ignition box? Where is an ideal spot to mount it?

Thanks for that info Cody... I just finished installing it. I'm very satisfied with the whole set up. The only thing that I did not like was the wire for spark-plug 6,8 and 5 they should have been straigt boots instead of 90*. And the wire for no 6 spark plug was a bit tight. They should add about 1" more .

Again thanks...
