89 chevy suburban 3/4 ton not getting fuel

89 chevy suburban 3/4 ton not getting fuel

I have a 89 chevy suburban 3/4 ton got it stuck and wile witching backwards the truck killed out cranked right back up ran fine in drive put it in reverse to start witching again and it killed out Tryed 3 more times same thing but on 4th time it wouldn't start it thin got flash flooded when the river came up water only came up to the bottom of the dash and nothing got in the motor when we started working on it in the morning I got it to crank up by putting gas in throttle body it will run like that now when I turn the key on nothing works no lights radio nor horn only my voltage gauge. I know I'm not getting fuel out of my injectors fuel pump does not come on with key but does work by applying 12v to the Manuel prime wire even with this done it will not crank any help would be much appreciated if anything is Unclear please let me know and I will clear it up thanks

just will have to start checking for power to the ECM and injectors-ecm only controls the spark advance of the distributor,so engine will run on poured gas even if ECM totally inoperable.Fusable links down by the starter may have been damaged or blown(presuming suburban has fusable links there)

I am about to check with a noid light not sure if I'm getting ahead of my self here. I have been looking at my ECM being the problem but don't know how to test it can you point me in the right direction also does the ECM have anything to do with the lights? May be a completely different problem but I don't know if the two problems are connected or not?

ECM has nothing to do with the lights-IIRC,ECM is above the glovebox on those trucks-above the waterline I would say the two problems are related though...probably corroded through fusable link(s) at the starter.How long was the truck submersed?

One hour give or take a little if I knew how to pose pics I would but the original problem occurred before the flood like minutes did I mention the starter does work with the key also power windows and locks do as well
