Hi guys.

i´m planing a project and want to put in a ls2 or ls3. but they have electronic throttle body. i have looked on ebay and summit. i´ve found a complete body (92mm) with tps and iac. it´s maybe a very stupid question. but is it a very big difference between the cheapest and those for 400 dollars +? it dont care if i gain any power, but i definitely don´t wanna lose any power though. i also don´t wanna buy anthing because it cheap either. but it is a big cost from 120 dollars to 4-500 dollars (just to skip the electronic TB)

Well idk about the ls2 but in my experience with my lt4 I went with El cheapo and never had a problem. Even gained a woppin 2 hp lol. IMO some parts you're just buying a name nothing more......SOME parts lol

 

okey. maybe better to buy the cheaper one then.seems very unnecessary to pay 300 + for a name. with maybe slightly better quality.

 

Couldn't agree more. I believe most times people get the expensive part due to word of mouth. Saw a junkyard special blow the doors off a "namebrand" quite a few times. Don't underestimate tha cheap stuff lol

 

Exactly. Not always more expensive is better. But which sensor wouöd you go with? Those that invludes the throttle body on ebay. Or go with the exact same body, but with oem sensor. I know it cost a little more though
