I have a 92 RS 5.0 Automatic that very randomly stalls while driving. It will not start again for 5-10 minutes.

It is completely random and does not happen everyday. Before I take it to the shop I was wondering what people think. I am thinking its fuel pump or filter. I have some videos of it on youtube not starting after it stalls.

 

If it were mine, I'd test fuel pressure, I'd test spark strength, and I'd be looking at my service records to see when the last "real" tune-up was done. Perhaps the coil, plugs, wires, cap 'n' rotor have begun to fail. Perhaps the fuel filter is plugging--but that should show up on the fuel pressure test.

There are other possibilities--defective pickup coil or distributor module, faulty on-board security system, etc., but I'd start with fuel pressure and tune-up.
