Tbi heads and chip
Hi I have a 1988 Chevy Camaro 305 Tbi I am planning on doing a head swap from a 87+ tpi It is a 081 casting head I wanted to know if it would work with my stock chip for a week or 2 till I can order my custom chip?

Yes I will be putting in a lt1 cam in there out of a 94 z28 I know the chip would support the cam for the time being but I needed to know if it would support the heads.Would my 305 injectors be able to support those mods for the time being till I can get the 350 injectors and custom chip for the mods and 350 injectors?

The greater question is why you're wasting all that time, money, effort, and enthusiasm on a 305. If you're intent on computer-tuning anyway, stuffing in a 350 or larger engine is almost without downside.
It's hard to argue with 50+ ft/lbs of torque, at about the same or lower rpm.

I am pretty sure that my t5 tranny would not be able to handle the torque of a 350.

Yes you are right but I use this car as my daily driver I rather make less power but have a peace of mind that everything would be ok and I don't drive the car hard but I like to get on it once in a while everything considered it is a 28 year old transmission I would rather not take the risk.
