1991 TBI Fuel pump

I put a 1991 TBI 4.3 in my jeep. It has been running good far a couple years. I just put a new fuel pump in thinking that was the issue. After driving about 15 min the fuel pump just stops. It is not getting power. sometimes it will start right back and others I will have to wait an hour before I can get the fuel pump running again. Any ideas on what would cause this?

Re: 1991 TBI Fuel pump

Faulty fuel pump relay? Faulty ECM? Defective fuel pump?

Faulty pickup coil or ignition module, doesn't supply reliable signal to the ECM? When the fuel pump DOESN'T work, do you still have spark?
