High idle problem on TBI?!?

Hi!

Today I tried to help a friend who has an '89 Chevy van /w a 350 TBI in it.

His problem is that the idle goes up as far as 2000-2500 rpm suddenly, and then it goes back to normal after a while.

I helped him remove and clean the IAC, which I first suspected to be the problem, also checked the throttle linkage and it moves smooth and goes back fully when I take the foot off the accelerator....

All vacum lines seems to be in order, what else can cause a problem like this?

I was thinkping maybe MAP sensor?

Already tried with a replacement IAC, he's going to get a new MAP sensor for it today and see what that gives. Didn't have my laptop with me yesterday, but if that doesn't help I'll hookup the computer and see if something looks funny...
