Won't idle or stay running without giving gas
I have a 1992 Camaro 305 TBI with only 65,xxx that is having some issues. The car basically just sits in the garage and was started and or driven short distances for years. About 2 years ago I had noticed it was getting hard to start and I had to give it gas to get it started. It cranked a bit before starting up, but then it ran perfect. I'm not sure if this even is part of the issue, but I am just throwing it out there. Now the other week, I had started it up in the garage and it died while idling after a few minutes, which it never does. I go to start it back up and it starts but immediately dies. I then start it and have to keep tapping the gas to keep it running, which it was surging, running rough and trying to die while doing. No check engine light is on. It isn't drivable in it's current state so I am trying to fix it rather than having to pay for a tow. I went ahead and changed the IAC today hoping it would fix the issue, but it did not. Anyone have an idea where to start given the symptoms?

Stop guessing and replacing components that AREN'T the problem.
1. What is the fuel pressure? How old is the fuel filter? How old is the gasoline?
2. Connect a scan tool, look at the data stream. Codes may or may not be helpful, the data stream never lies.
3. What do the distributor cap, rotor, plug wires and plugs look like? Have you yanked a plug wire--or coil wire--and tested it with an ohmmeter? Do the plug wires glow in the dark when the engine runs?
