i am here to pick brains and make you laugh. i have a 91 Silverado with a 350 tbi 4x4 that had two blown head gaskets. i changed the gaskets on top and am working on the bottom end. but now the truck is mine i will pull the engine and build it right. is it worth going stock? do these motor put out a lot of hp, or torque. i am not looking for a racer just a reliable engine. i will probably change the clutch and flywheel while i am in there.

You might have better luck with a truck forum.
i think the k trucks 350 was rated 250-290 hp.
torque is decent with the swirl port heads. I don’t remember the spec from when I did a crate engine in my k1500 but I think tq is 300.

You might not need to rebuild it if the bottom end is okay. These motors have a really long life. If you want it to be reliable, without having to DIY chip tune, I would keep it dead stock with the exception of a better exhaust and intake of some sort. Any internal mods (cam, heads, etc) to a TBI motor will require custom EPROM tuning.
