Question about differences in Marine TBI and Automotive TBI for 5.7l

I keep searching and searching and cannot find full answers on a few questions. I currently own a 1993 Silverado with the 5.7l TBI, I am in the process of planning an engine swap/build and will need to upgrade the TBI unit to flow more air and fuel.
I see all the threads talking about boring out my current TBI unit but it looks like all the websites of people who did that are gone now. So here are the questions, assuming I want a 2" bore Throttle Body.
1. Are the Mercruiser or Volvo Throttle body units the same base casting? I guess meaning since they are 2" bore units can I Frankenstein the marine unit with my sensors etc to work on a truck (assuming it will definitely need an ECM flash)
2. If option 1 will work I assume my TPS will still function to control the transmission?

That's all I have for now, thanks in advance for any help.

The marine TBI units are the large IAC foot print 454 style castings. Even the 4.3L had a 2" bore unit. All of them that I have seen run the 30 psi fuel pressure regulator. Some have high pressure 46# injectors and others high pressure 61# units. The injectors flow 74 lb/hr and 104 lb/hr at 30 psi. The TPS and IAC are the same as a later model 454. You will need to adjust your line pressure vs TPS table as the larger throttle plates will allow the engine to build more torque at a lower throttle opening %.

If you are looking to bore out a TB on the double barrel TBI system, SPR is doing it. SPR PERFORMANCE Unfortunately, they are having some site issues at the moment, but they are in business. GL

Good to know SPR is still around, I have noticed their site is down hence I started searching the marine market since I am in Florida and we have more mercruisers than GMT400s around here.

I feel like that is a yes it will work but.... ECM changes, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator? My main concerns would be if the casting will take my IAC and TPS if I pull them from my unit. I do plan on getting a EBL Flash II to tune the system.

The casting will not fit your IAC, TPS potentially but that depends on which style your existing unit uses. You will need the later 454 IAC connector.
