No Start Issues

I have an 89 305 tbi v8. I’ve recently replaced the fuel pump sending unit along with fuel pump. I’ve also replace the fuel ventilator and hoses from the sending unit to the lines. After that I finally got fuel to the throttle and the pressure is good. Still had no start. Realized I wasn’t getting any spark. So I replaced the entire distributor distributor cap and rotor, new module along with new spark plugs(properly gapped) and new spark wires. Before installing I made sure it was TDC distributor dropped in perfect to #1. Wires in correct position on the cap. Said heck with it and replace the ignition coil and map sensor. I also cleaned my grounds. There’s good spray coming from the injectors a nice cone shape. sometimes fuel sprays up and a fire at base of injectors. I’ve check for pulse with noid light on injector all is good. I have 12V from battery alternator checks good, starter checks good. I have all good fuses and all good relays. What am I missing?

The mere fact that you said fuel is spraying up through the throttle body and ignites at the base of the injectors tell me your distributor is 180* out.

Fuel filter?

Are these fine-wire (Platinum, Iridium, etc.) plugs? They should be pre-gapped out-of-the-box, re-gapping is not recommended. WHAT GAP are they?

As said...WHICH "TDC"? TDC-Compression, or TDC-Exhaust? Makes a BIG difference, and TDC-Exhaust will give you backfires as you describe.

You've replaced a LOT of parts with little or no diagnosis. Given the generally-poor quality of replacement parts today (Thanks, China and the Communist Collaborators here in the USA) you may be better-off with "good used" OEM parts rather than brand-new aftermarket parts.

Yup, sounds like the distributor was dropped-in on TDC-Exhaust.

Battery is severely discharged. Open-circuit voltage should be 12.6--12.8 depending on battery construction.
