Would Stock Vortec head springs work with an LT1 cam in a L03?

I was wondering if the springs that came stock on 350 Vortec heads will work when I install them and a LT1 cam this spring. Are they good enough? If not, what springs would be?

Thanks

I got the K-motion's too. With .480 lift working fine. Just be sure to check your retainer to seal clearance with what ever cam you install

So they will work but just barely? Hmm, guess I have to add another item to the list

As for retainer to seal clearance, how would I check that. It's a stock corvette LT1 cam with under 15K on it.

Remember the vortecs will only hold .460 lift.

about .450 intake .450 exaust. Some of the later LT1 cams went up to around .460 exaust. That's all with 1.5 rockers. To find out lift with 1.6 rockers, divide the above by 1.5 and mulitply by 1.6

I ran Vortecs with a .488 lift cam with no problems.

I'm getting a set of Vortec springs off a freind of mine for free so I'm gonna have them put in when i get my leaky valve seals replaced. I think they'll handle my wussy LO3 cam just fine. Really whipped valve springs cause a major loss of top end don't they? Cause i'm REALLY bad when i'm much over 3300 RPMs or so, sometimes worse than others. Its a 128,000 mile engine thats had a hard life, figure might as well replace them with new ones since they're free. Couldn't hurt.
