A 305 doesn't really need a 670 TB. What is really mismatched about your combo are the stock heads. Everything else will want to flow like crazy except the stock heads, they don't flow well at all.
Jza may be talking about the LT1 cam and that manifolds power bands. I don't know what the power bands of either are, I'm just speculating.

i hate this stupid 305 everyone loves the lo3 but i have it and i think it sucks i mean for sum1 that doesn't mind runnin 16 secoudn quarter miles its not bad but i bought a firebird cause i wunted a performance car but wut i got was a 305. why is it that you have to spend an arm and a leg liek 1000 bucks to get into mid 14's? thats rediculous!! the 5.0 mustangs put echaust gears and a chip in and they run high 13's. i am to poor to get a 350 and i hate nitrous so wut else can i do to get my 305 to run low 14's without sellin my house?

You could easily get into the 14's for less than you think. Go full exhaust, gears, lt1 cam, edelbrock tbi manifold, open upper, custom chip and some suspension mods. You obviously won't do this all at once, if you are poor do one or two mods at a time. that way you can afford it, and get a feel for each upgrade. after while you'll have a decent car that will run with stangs.

Not to mention I just read your post down further on this board. the things you are talkin about doing are actually pretty expensive. You can't possibly be poor and still plan on doing that stuff!!!

alright well this is wut i have right now. edelbrock TES headers, gutted cat(going to be a catco cat),flowmaster 80 series, openelement,chip,9-bolt posi. i was def gonna get 3.73 gears with hotchkis lower control arms and panhard rod. then i was thinkin along the lines of the holley manifold cause it has bigger bores then the edelbrock. cause i migth wut to upgrade to the holley tbi later. also i was think about the lt4 hot cam. what do u think of that combo minus the holley tBI? also do u think that cam is to big for for the 305?

If you're just looking for high 14's the L03 heads will probably get you that far. You don't need the Holley TB for a 305, you can use that money on something else.
