right side meaning passenger or drivers side, either way of looking at it? I just regapped mine and i found it easier under the car, couple times you gotta go above the car to take the boot off. the front ones you get from the top. Pull off the boot, and take a 5/8 plug socket or deep socket. Use a breaker bar on the socket wrench if you got to, and pray that they arent cross threaded if its that hard to get out.

I got all mine from the bottom. Then there were two of us to do wires and they took about 10 minutes. Plugs took about 3 hours total though

Its not so bad from under the car. Just work by feel and not by sight (preferably on a cold motor!)

I get all eight from underneath. One comes out pretty easily from up top, though, for a quick plug read.

A good formula for making plug-changing faster on a third gen: remove your AIR stuff, replace your manifolds with non-AIR headers, and replace the stock air duct/cleaner with an open element. If you leave the A/C in, you may still need to go under the car for the one plug back by the heat/a/c stuff (and maybe loosen your psgr header!), but you'll save all that tissue on your arm!

Seriously, though, good luck with that plug - it's not impossible, just a PITA, esp. with the AIR pipes scraping your arm if you're above... I never thought of this before, but if you have a g/f or other acquaintance with skinny forearms, bribe them to do it!

Remove the driveshaft, radiator, upper and lower hoses. Attach a cherry picker the engine, remove the motor mount thru-bolts. Remove the engine, replace plugs.

Istallation is the reverse.

Well doesn't EVERYONE do it this way??
