spark plugs

hello im new to this board
i own a 90 RS (305 tbi) i was looking to change the spark plugs and wires but looking underneath the hood it looks like they're really tight and a pain in the butt to get at. i looked in the haynes manual and it didnt say anything helpfull. is their any special tricks, such as removing sutff?

also about a month ago i was driving and i guess the hood wasnt latched right, well the damn thing flew up and bent. i bought a used hood at the local u-pull-it and put it on, but its not alligned correctly. off to the right it catches the fender. i know w/ my jeep their are spacers, how do u allign the hood on camaros?

thanks,
eddie

I'm not gonna be much help with the hood.

Yeah, unless you've ripped a lot of stuff (emissions, A/C) out of your engine compartment, the spark plug change is gonna suck. The key to making it more sane is to jack the car up a bit and get the ones that are real pains in the bum (the ones closest to the firewall, basically) from underneath the car.

Most thridgens are kinda notorious for involoving painful sparkplug changes (there are much worse cars, tho).
