My Open Element doesnt fit
hey guys i tried to do a search but i came up without the info i need. Ok heres the deal, i bought an open air element the 14x3 and it did not fit right. It was the drop base. Am i supposed to get a new screw thing that goes in the middle because it was not tall enough for me to screw the top on. I know everyone says the flat base is better, so should i just order one of those instead? If so should i buy a longer screw so i can get the top on, or am i just doing something wrong? thanks for the help guys.

To use the drop base and the original air cleaner stud, you'll need to keep the spacer between the base and the throttle body.

did u unscrew the stud as much as you can, it is adjustable, i didnt even know that until i went to kragen.
I installed a 14x3 flat based open element and the wing nut barely screws onto the stud, but i fits.
