144 blower with TBI?
144 blower with TBI?
I was looking around at blowers for my caprice. I saw the 144 blower for smallblock and I was wondering if anyone has used it with TBI. This is a former police car that the previous owner did a bunch of work to. It has a 670cfm holley throttle body, an lt4 cam, headers and some other stuff. How well will this blower work on my car?
it woudl work great. the boost from the 144 is pretty mild, only 6-7psi, that means that you can prolly just put the timing back a little and give the fuel pressure a little extra and you wil be good to go.
the boost is low enough that the stock map sensor will even be ok with it(as long as you stay under 10lbs you are cool with th estocker)
i wonder how the hood fitment woudl be on a caprice? i know that when b&m originally designed it(before holley bought their blower division) it was set up to fit below the stock truck hood. so the caprice may need a mild cowl to clear it.
