help AIR pump ticking like a sick case of valve lash!
is there anyway to completely remove the AIR pump unit (on the drivebelt) and bypass it with a pulley. I have AC on that side too and I dont want to cut that out (it works!). I live in a dry desert climate and the AC is a must! I thought about bypassing the AC for now (its only 80 degrees right now), but the summer is gonna kill me. I pulled all the air stuff out and the air pump on the drive belt is ticking so loud it sounds like a sick case of valve lash! HELP its getting annoying! please any suggestions will be appreciated.
You can pull it out and run a shorter belt. No need for an idler pulley. The tech articles section *should* have a diagram to show you the belt routing with A/C still connected. It's been a while since I've looked at it though.
