thermac port on tbi question
i removed the stock air box...when i plug the port it drops my idle 400 or so......whats the advantage or disadvantage to plugging it or leaving it open?
you want to plug it. if you leave it open you are letting in uncontrolled air.
also, if you are picking up what rpm it is at from the stock tach, take it only as a general number, since our stock tachs are nto veryy accurate.
i know in my car it reads about 100 rpm low at idle and by the time i shifted at 5000rpm the tach was reading 5200.
cap it, you have no need to worry as long as the idle stays solid.
