Boring out edelbrock base & roller rockers
Boring out edelbrock base & roller rockers
Ok I just got a couple quick questions....I was told that the Edelbrock TBI base has 1 11/16" bores from the TB & the Holley Pro-Jection has 2" bores...is this correct? Is it better to get one of the above 2 bases of get a square bore carb base & then an adapter plate? Do 87-95 stock heads (Both the LO6? & L98) have self-aligning rockers or do you need to use guideplates?
Thanks,

You can either bore out the Edelbrock manifold or run the adaptor plate made for it. Personally I would enlarge the intake to try and take advantage of the 2 inch throttle plates rather than simply put on the adapter and make it flow through the smaller ports. As far as the L98 and Lo6 yes they both use self aligning rocker arms.
I want to buy the Crane Energizer 1.6rr & I don't think they're self-aligning, I'm pretty sure you have to use guideplates w/ them... Who makes a self-aligning rocker except for the Comp Gold Race rockers which are $300 I think. Are the Harland Sharp rockers self-aligning??
