I just installed an underdrive pulley set and got tremendous gains but now I want to bypass my air conditioning and my smog pump and whatever else isn't needed for daily driving. does anyone know what size the short belt is and if it's available??

im pretty sure without my AC and smog pump im running a 83-84 inch belt now...i had to put the belt overtop of the tension pulley instead of under it or whatever but works fine...just take a long piece of string and wrap it the way it should be and make sure its tight...cut it to the length and then measure it and get a belt just a tad shorter than your measurements

 

I have used a short belt with the ac and the power steering bypassed for track use. Duno the size but they do make them.

 

When I removed my a/c and smog on the 89, I cut the old belt and ran it around the path with the tensioner being held back by a friend. I also moved the alternator to the place where the a/c used to be so that I did not have to get the 1LE thing. I think the belt was only 43". I bought 3 and returned the ones that did not work best.
