Update on my car (short)

I started my car an hour or two ago to drive to AutoZone so I could finally buy a fuel pressure guage and I noticed the car was running better than usual in open loop mode. It didn't seem to die off at higher rpms (2500rpm is high when stone cold, due to the fan). Not surprisingly, when it warmed up and entered closed loop mode, it was even quicker. My BLMs were 135 and below. I didn't do any highway cruising but I did do a lot of in-city mashing and it had great kick (low end, mid range and top end). I noticed when I got into the gas the BLMs would actually decrease a bit. This is all after replacing the fuel filter yesterday. I still think I have an inconsistent fuel pump.

Does anyone agree? To repeat, when it is in a good mood, the power EVERYwhere is improved, cold, warm, low through top-end. I can't wait to get that damn guage on there...I'm sick of bench-troubleshooting.

Not too sure yet, but let us know how the gauge reads.
Y'know, at idle, while cruising, immediately after mashing the pedal, and the whole time during WOT.
