removeing air pump what size belt

I'm getting ready to remove the air pump what size serpentine belt do I need now I read the tech on it and I'm now more confussed

Axle/Gears: 3.73, auburn , precision
pull your tensioner out of the way,use a seamstress tape , the kind they use to measure you for a suit? run it exactly how it shows in the tech article,read the number where the tape overlaps itself , subtract 1/2" , your good to go

yeah but its different for every application.......i removed my smog pump and put the same belt back on and it works fine........got me, depends how stretched the one your taking off is i think , not sure

So in short I'm gonna have to do some math to figure out what belt I need thats what I thought
The tech article need modified I was MORE confussed after i read it cause it says to run it a different way and in the picture with power steering its the same as mine is just no smog pump
WASP why does it say your on probation if you dont mind me asking and you have a bee as your little picture I liked your other picture:lala:

when you remove the pump and re route the belts, you need one thats 2 inches longer usually. With 3 piece underdrive pulleys on my car heres the sizes.
With pump= 91.5" with pulleys | 94.5" without pulleys
without pump=93.5" with pulleys | 96.5"without pulleys

my other picture is why im on probation,religious people in texas are uptight , didnt ya know?

mine was what ever the tech article said, I ended up having to get one that was .1 longer, but the guy said it would be fine, he was right no problems

uuummmmmm my belt is already routed that way from the factory I just have an air pump in it So am I the only one like this??? I need a shorter belt not a longer one
