Timing Cover Installation Question

Is there an easy way to install the timing cover without having to drop the pan. Anyone done this before please drop me a note. Later.

take out the first three bolts on each side and then loosen the rest until the pan will come down far enough, to get the timing cover on. Usually the oil pan gasket will reseal and not leak, but not always.

Yeah, like he says: 'usually but not always"

I had to replace mine after a rather spectacular HB failure took a chunk out of it. It has a little tiny drip at the front seal that I have got tired of trying to stop. The front oil pan seal is a pain in the a$$, The only clean way to install the TC cover is to drop the oil pan entirely, which in our cars, requires pulling the motor.

Of course, it could be worse, we could have Fords
