Just did a compression test and......
Hey guys i just did a compression test on my 76 with a 400 and 6X heads heres what i got.
cyl. on driverside, front to back.
1. 184 psi.
2. 96
3. 184
4. 184
cly. on passengerside, front to back.
5. 184 psi.
6. 184
7. 96
8. 184
What does this mean? my car runs smooth but sounds but because of a header leak.
does this mean i have two bad cyls?

yeah you've got 2 bad cyls, 3 and 7 are the most common to go south, it will run ok for a little while, but your not going to have near the power you would have if the cyl were fine, looks like its time to start saveing for a rebuilt, but first find where its leaking, could be a burnt valve, or crack in the gasket, get a cylinder leakdown test done then you will be forsure whats going on

here's the thing i just pick up the car, the owner said the motor has been rebuilt already. the only thing i can think of is he rebuilt everything except the heads, and just slaped the stock ones on. oh yeah the car was run with a header leak for awhile, could that be the cause?
