What Can I Salvage ???
Yesterday I found out my 305 is pretty much junk and isnt worth to fix, so I am going to buy a 350 block My question is what can i salvage besides the carb to use on the 350 to save money.....
Intake, water pump, all accessories, pans ans covers will fit a 350 and shouldn't be any problems.
Other parts may be reused if they are aftermarket replacements or relatively new and in good condition, such as rocker arms and push rods, roller lifters and cam, flexplate, oil pump, distributor, hoses, crankshaft, connecting rods, tiiming set. Of course, if these are stock parts or worn, they should not be reused. If you are buying just a replacement short block, some of these items can interchange.
Not a lot else can be recycled to the 350. Don't reuse the balancer, main caps, piston pins.
