desktop dyno help.....?
i ran a engine setup on desktop dyno and did not think the numbers sounded quite right. could someone with more desktop experience run this for me please.
2.02, 1.60 valves
64cc chambers
heads flow chart:
valve lift - intake - exhaust
.050 - 40 - 28
.100 - 68 - 57
.200 - 132 - 102
.300 - 187 - 131
.400 - 225 - 150
.500 - 240 - 164
.600 - 243 - 162
E/I - --- - 67%
cam file ( hotcam )
Duration @ 0.050 218/228
lift .525/.525
lobe seperation 112
*i just chose tpi as the manifold induction
*350 block with .030 over bore (355 ci )
*short tube headers with exhaust
* i put 1100 cfm (induction flow) i dont know if that will be too high, i plan on running ported upper and lower plenum and slp siamesed runners.
thanks alot to whoever can do me this favor.
Brad

I come up with 376 hp @5000 rpm, and 437 tq at 4000 rpm, sounds like a good combo to me. I'd say that's about right for that combo. The stock tpi set up is holding you up of course, if you switch to a complete high flow system like a Stealth ram, Mini-ram, or lt1 swap use the Tunnel ram intake manifold or single plane. Numbers go to 415/437 both 500 rpm higher. I only used 1000 cfm btw.
Hope this is what you were looking for.
BTW I used 9.5 compression, you didn't say what you were gonna run.

thanks for the help. i guess i wasnt too far off after all. i actually didnt think that setup would give me those kinds of numbers. all the better for me though
also, how did you enter the lobe sep. and all? it would only allow me to enter the lift numbers and lifter type? do you have to do anything special? because when i would pick a cam (example: "street performance"), it would already choose my lobe speration???? is there somehting i am doing wrong?
thanks, brad
