What pistons to buy

I am rebuilding an older 350 for my Camaro and need to replace the pistons. It has 76cc heads and the stock flat top pistons put me at about 8.5 to 1 compression. What is a good after market piston that will bump the compression up to around 10 to 1 or so? I have about $200 to spend on this and can get new stock pistons for $75. Is it evan worth going after a higher compression ratio and when do you need to run more octane? Looks like the best way would be stock pistons and 64cc heads but don't have the $$'s to do it. Any help would be cool. Thanks.

You could always mill the heads and block decks a little.I would stay with the flat tops and shave off a little.

You can also put on a high po head gaskets that gives higher compression, not much but it will bump it a little. Milling the heads is by far the easiest way to do it.

What are you looking for this engine to do?

Going to a lower negative deck hieght and a D-Dish will, even with the same compression, give you better fuel milage and power, for not much more money.

That is the beauty of quench!
