I want to hear everyones input before I do it. Ive got a new 305 waiting to be dropped in. I want to do what I need to while its out of the car. So fill me in guys???????????????????????? Oh yeah and Im on a limited budget. Very limited. What should I use off the old engine and what should I not?

Being on a limited budget and speed don't mix well. First get full exhaust headers and cat-back. I'd recommend the Hooker cat-back (sound clip is in the sign), then get a cam, Comp 262XE or 268 depending on whether or not the heads can handle the 268, not sure. Do some head work either buy a home porting kit or buy some el cheapo heads, I'll let some others give you advice there. And get some gears to match the rest of your setup, most likely 3:73s would be a good choice.

Ok......Well I already have all new heads and pistons and I currently have 373s in my car. So thats good. When you say "do some head work" were you meaning fix up the old ones? As you can see Im not a mechanic by any means...............But Im trying..............

I'm still learning to, you really need to find out the size of your intake and exhaust valve sizes, that will help out a lot.
Hopefully someone with some more expertise will chime in.
