question about speedo cable drive gears on a manual trans
i just put a new speedo cable in my car and its about 5 miles per hour fast. if i replace the drive gears will this bring everything back to normal. it still has the same 373 gears in it (never changed them). also do i have to get the drive gears for gm or a parts store. when i pull the drive gears out will trans fluid come out. thanks for any info.

What tooth count do you have on the driven gear? & What colour is the drive gear (check w/ flashlight)? I can get you the right ones; just need to figure out which ones you have already.

Yes, there'll be a bit of fluid. Just jack up the rear of the car instead of the front to minimize that, and undo the 8 or 10mm(?) bolt to release the retainer of the driven gear.
