weight difference

weight difference

how much more does a 350 weight compared to 305 with the same induction setup?

theoreticly a 350 would weigh less because it has a larger bore. lets do some math here.... 350-305=45 so it looks like about 45 cubic inches of steel, plus whatever the size increase in the heads intake runners are... maybe a 350 weighs 25 pounds less???

Of course to be the devils advocate, maybe they use stronger crank/pistons/rods to counter it.. i guess it depends on your engine.

EDIT: its not going to be 45 cubic inchces of steel because they probably keep the same distance between the bore and the water jacket. maybe it weighs about 10-15 pounds less
