Never heard of that before, mine don't really get dirty. I put some heat sleeving on them and that stays clean too.

Your kidding right? These wires costed me 60 bucks. (MSD 8.5mm Superconductors) There just a little dirty guys, I am just wondering which products could I use and couldn't use to wash them. Don't want to ruin them ya know.

Hand cleaner works the best and will not do any damage to the wires. Any "parts cleaner" or solvent will damage the wires over time, especially if you do it a number of times. I clean mine often. They are yellow wires!

I usually do it in two stages, with a sponge and a rag. I take a wire off, and wipe it with a damp (water) sponge to get most of the dirt away. Then I spray some windex on a rag, and wipe the wire clean. Takes 30 seconds a wire? I have the MSD 8.5mm wires too, and after a few months of driving, they're dusty as all hell.

Silicone spray may work. And theres no way its going to hurt a silicone wire. Mechanic friend showed me one time how it lifts grease from paint. Just dont try repainting any time soon!

I also recommend hand cleaner or simple green.
I've had the best luck with the orange gojo hand cleaner.
Hey, when you're finished your hands will be clean too!

I have always dipped a rag into clean, new trans fluid, and wiped off the wires. If you rub hard, it will take off the lettering if any is on the wires.
