SR 305 torque heads on a 350?
SR 305 torque heads on a 350?
i asked about this once before but i wanted to know something else...i noticed most of GMs crate motors come with the smaller valves and make good power so wouldnt the SRs make good power on a 350? i plan on getting them and having them ported before they go on my 305but when im ready maybe put them on a 350...also with the smaller valves couldnt you run a high lift cam without valve shrouding...would that be good or bad?
Valve shrouding on a 350 with 2.02/1.60 valves is only eminent at lifts past .550" (are you gonna go that far?)
A ported set of S/R 305 Torquers will work just fine on a 350. They're the same as the 350 Torquers just at 58cc chambers. So you're compression will be bumped up a lot.
Just a FYI, my school drag racer uses S/R Torquers 67cc heads 2.02/1.6 valves , ported and polished, 230* cam with .480" lift and it makes 450hp at 7000rpm. It's in a Vega too. This car is a real piece of work.
